Abstract:
The TRANSENERGY view service (Transboundary Geothermal Energy Resources of Slovenia, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia) provides expert knowledge on the sustainable use of geothermal resources in the western part of the Pannonian Basin. The data of the TRANSENERGY view service originate from the TRANSENERGY project (2013), which aimed to provide an interactive web-based tool to support the sustainable use of geothermal resources in the western part of the Pannonian Basin. For the assessment, geological, hydrogeological, and geothermal models were applied both at a regional scale and for five selected pilot areas with different geothermal conditions. The results are provided through a web service. The data support authorities and investors in regional assessments of geothermal resources and serve as a permanent decision-making basis beyond the end of the project.
