The TRANSENERGY view service (Transboundary Geothermal Energy Resources of Slovenia, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia) provides expert knowledge on the sustainable use of geothermal resources in the western part of the Pannonian Basin. Ziel des Projekts war die Bereitstellung eines interaktiven, webbasierten Werkzeugs zur Unterstützung der nachhaltigen Nutzung geothermischer Ressourcen im westlichen Teil des Pannonischen Beckens. Für die Evaluierung wurden geologische, hydrogeologische und geothermische Modelle herangezogen, die sowohl auf überregionaler Ebene als auch für fünf ausgewählte Pilotgebiete mit unterschiedlichen geothermischen Bedingungen angewendet wurden. Die Ergebnisse werden in Form eines Web-Services bereitgestellt. Die Daten unterstützen Behörden und Investoren bei der regionalen Bewertung geothermischer Ressourcen und dienen als dauerhafte Entscheidungsgrundlage über das Projektende hinaus. The data of the TRANSENERGY view service originate from the TRANSENERGY project (2013), which aimed to provide an interactive web-based tool to support the sustainable use of geothermal resources in the western part of the Pannonian Basin. For the assessment, geological, hydrogeological, and geothermal models were applied both at a regional scale and for five selected pilot areas with different geothermal conditions. The results are provided through a web service. The data support authorities and investors in regional assessments of geothermal resources and serve as a permanent decision-making basis beyond the end of the project.
