The map shows areas of bedrock classified into geological units according to the types of rock and their ages. In addition, fault zones in the bedrock are also depicted.
The service presents an overview of Estonian bedrock and fault zones at a scale of 1:400 000.

The dataset is an improved version of the Geological map of the Fennoscandian Shield. The legend has been revised in cooperation with the geological surveys of Sweden and Norway.
