Offshore high resolution seismic lines on recovered from the shelf and basins of the Sea of Marmara, which provide stratigraphic relations of the late Quaternary deposits, and tectonic setting related to North Anatolian Fault segments.

From 1976 to 1991, approximately 24,500 km of Common Depth Point (CDP) seismic lines were acquired, covering nearly all of Latvia's offshore area on a 2x2 km seismic grid, with the exception of the shallowest nearshore areas. The seismic profiles are available in analogue format on magnetic tapes, with some of them having been processed and available digitally in *.sgy file format.
