Abstract:
The Metallogenic Map of the Republic of Srpska at a scale of 1:300,000 and the accompanying Interpretation have been developed in accordance with the Long-Term Program for the Development of Basic Geological Research in the Republic of Srpska for the period 2014-2029. The Metallogenic Map serves as a basis for evaluating the mineral potential and prospectivity of specific areas with the aim of increasing the economic efficiency and effectiveness of future geological research on metallic and non-metallic mineral resources and solid fossil fuels in the Republic of Srpska.

The Long-Term Program for the Development of Basic Geological Research in the Republic of Srpska includes the creation of the Metallogenic Map at a scale of 1:300,000. The Metallogenic Map of the Republic of Srpska at 1:300,000 is a graphic representation of the relationship between the spatial distribution of deposits of solid, liquid, and gaseous mineral raw materials of various genetic types, formed during specific geological periods in the development of the terrain of the Republic of Srpska and neighboring areas, and previously delineated geological formations (groups and associations of formations), as well as the structural-tectonic framework and geo-historical development of the specific terrain and relevant ore formations. The Metallogenic Map of the Republic of Srpska at 1:300,000 is based on the results of metallogenic or mineralogenic analyses of all elements of the geo-historical development of the terrain of the Republic of Srpska and neighboring areas that are genetically related to the processes of formation, the timing of formation, and the spatial distribution of specific mineral deposits and/or groups of genetically related mineral raw materials.
