Abstract:

Kartorna i den geologiska atlasen över Schweiz ger detaljerad information om de ytliga lagren av sediment och berggrund. Geologiska formationers ålder, sammansättning och tektoniska strukturer representeras av färger, standardiserade symboler och tecken. Den topografiska bakgrunden som är under framtagning härrör från Swiss National Map 1:250 000. Till varje karta utges också en förklarande häfte där geologiska formationer och speciella företeelser i det aktuella området beskrivs. Atlasen är ett oumbärligt verktyg för geologer, ingenjörer, planerare, myndigheter, forskare och skolor.
