The database began to be developed in 1999. Geophysical and inclinometry measurements made by the former GMS Tuchlovice in structural, hydrogeological and bituminous coal exploration boreholes, and geophysical measurements made by the former Uranový průzkum Liberec and by other organizations in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, were processed in 1999-2002. The data were processed by Aquatest Inc. and DIAMO state enterprise. The database also contains geophysical data processed in 1995 (GMS, Aquatest, Geotrend) for the former Ministry of Economy. Measurements from boreholes made in the Vienna Basin and the Carpathian Foredeep were also obtained from Moravské naftové doly Inc. Hodonín and transferred to the database.
In 2003, three projects were initiated to process additional geophysical data from the former Uranový průzkum (currently known as DIAMO state enterprise) and to incorporate them into the CGS-Geofond
