Geological map of the Czech Republic 1 : 25,000 (GEOCR25)

Database GeoCR25 is a unique geographical information system developed by the on-going digitization of the geological maps at a scale of 1 : 25,000. It also contains database of the reference points and database of the unified geological legend.

Data Quality

The GEOCR25 dataset was partly digitized by semi-automated digitization of the scanned geological maps in Microstation SW (DGN format) and consequently transformed into ESRI geodatabase format. New map sheets are created by direct digitization of the authors' manuscripts into ESRI geodatabase. GEOCR25 covers approximately 20% of the state area.
Equivalent Scale: 1: 25000
