Borsod Coal Basins, Northern Hungary

Zoltán Püspöki, Gábor Markos 2017:

During the modelling work, sediment body thicknesses were constructed for the area of the Neogene coal basins of northern Hungary (including the Borsodi basins). Using the constructed surfaces, we are preparing a palaeogeographical reconstruction of the area under study. This model is also suitable for generating depth and thickness maps, since the correct layer definition allows the intersecting or discordant assemblages to be displayed in the correct configuration within the model.
