Coal Deposits Map of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
The map shows a total of 73 coal deposits in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the following types of deposits: bituminous coal (1), brown coal (46), lignite (24), and peat (2). The deposits on the map are categorized by their exploitation status into the following categories: - Deposits in exploitation, - Deposits preparing for exploitation, - Deposits where exploitation has not occurred, - Deposits where exploitation has been discontinued.
The Mineral Resources Sector of the Federal Geological Institute, as part of the preparation for the Cadastre of Mineral Deposits and Occurrences of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has created the Coal Deposits Map of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The map includes a total of 73 coal deposits in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including: bituminous coal (1), brown coal (46), lignite (24), and peat (2). The map also includes the contours of coal basins (peat, lignite, and brown coal), which cover only parts of the Neogene coal basins where the presence of coal has been confirmed based on exploratory work or coal outcrops.
