DRASTIC parameter "I - Impact of vadose zone" for Pilot area Tønder (Denmark)

This is the sixth parameter for the DRASTIC groundwater vulnerability assessment (Aller et al. 1987) applied at the HOVER WP7 pilot area Tønder (Denmark).

Data Quality

This geotiff is derived the 3D geological model of the study area. The cumulative thickness of the protective clay layer (above the aquifer) was used, so we can reclassified into the typical ratings for the vadoze zone media classes: “Sand and gravel” (8), “Sand and Gravel with significant silt and clay” (6), and “Silt/clay" (3).
