Submarine volcanic structures and eruption centers including hydrothermal activity, mapped by various national and regional mapping projects and recovered in the literature (points, lines and polygons). Locally polygons are extended on land to include the emerged portions of the volcanoes. Polygons represent areas larger than 10 hectares. Note: blank areas do not necessarily correspond to no occurrence.
Submarine volcanoes, mapped by various national and regional mapping projects and recovered in the literature (points, lines and polygons). Locally occurrences include their emerged portions. Polygons represent areas larger than 60 hectares. Note: blank areas do not necessarily correspond to no occurrence.
Submarine volcanic structures and eruption centers, mapped by various national and regional mapping projects and recovered in the literature. Lines represent eruptive fissures or borders of lava flows. Note: blank areas do not necessarily correspond to no occurrence.

Submarine volcanic structures and eruption centers including hydrothermal activity, mapped by various national and regional mapping projects and recovered in the literature. Points represent areas smaller than 10 hectares. (for larger areas, see volcanoes polygons layer) or additional culminations of volcanic structures. Note: blank areas do not necessarily correspond to no occurrence.
Submarine volcanoes, mapped by various national and regional mapping projects and recovered in the literature. Points refer to specific morphotypes or areas smaller than 60 hectares. Note: blank areas do not necessarily correspond to no occurrence.

Submerged forest is defined as the in situ remains of trees (especially tree stumps) that now lie submerged beneath a bay, sea, ocean, lake, or other body of water. Chronological information on method used (e.g. dendrochronology, radiocarbon dating, based on indirect evidence etc.) and age as calendar age BP is included where known. Confidence is defined as follows: 1. High: Sampled feature with good age and palaeoenvironmental control. 2. Sampled feature with poor or none age and palaeoenvironmental contr...
