The Geological Survey Ireland (GSI), as partner and Work Package 7 (Minerals) leader of EMODnet Geology Phase III, are compiling information on rock peg vein deposits. EMODnet partners are submitting the spatial extent of mapped deposits and established information; here you can view data collated thus far. Need abstract information here.....

Iso-content maps of Rubidium (Rb), one of the chemical elements.obtained in the Geochemical Atlas of Spain Project, distributed in stream sediments (14,864 samples), superficial soils (0-20 cm.) (13,505 samples) and deeper soils (20-40 cm.) (7,682 samples). The results of the chemical analysis are shown in two types: total dissolution of the sample with 4 acids and partial dissolution with aqua regia. With the analytical results of all the sampled points, an isocontent map is made with adjustment to a squa...

S layer represents soil media with direct assignment of S index values (Soil Map of Greece 1:500.000)
Metadata Contact: Geological Survey of Greece (HSGME), Greece, Date Stamp: 2025-01-16
S layer represents soil media with direct assignment of S index values for each pedological unit and information from pedological profiles and litho-geochemical map (where no profiles were available). The highest values correspond to lithologies that don't constitute soils or at least very shallow ones (< 30 cm). The lowest values are significant for areas with deeper soil layers (sedimentary rocks).

The aquifer media layer is created by direct assignment of soil layer to S index values from 1-10. The majority of the pilot area (80 %) is covered by subsoils > 5 m thick, with further 10 % subsoils are > 3 m thick. The majority of the catchment is given the lower ‘S’-ratings due to soil and subsoil cover, with areas of little or no soil given a value of 10.

The soil media layer is created by direct assignment of soil layer to S index values from 1-10. Rock outcrops frequently and there is little or no subsoil over much of teh catchment. The majority of the catchment is given the higher ‘S’-ratings due to lack of soil and subsoil cover, with areas of little or no soil given a value of 10.
