Data Source: The dataset is based on the printed and individually published map sheets of the "Geological Map of the Republic of Austria 1:50,000" series produced by the Geological Survey of Austria. The polygons from the individual sheets were merged into a single layer without cross-border harmonization or edge matching. The dataset represents the state of research at the time of publication of the respective printed maps and does not cover the entire national territory.
