Abstract:
Tato mapa ukazuje sedimenty těsně u zemského povrchu (nebo mořského dna) do hloubky cca 5m. Mapa vychází z existujících map bývalé Rijks Geologische Dienst a kde bylo zapotřebí, je doplněna o nové nepublikované údaje. Sedimenty jsou klasifikovány podle nové litostratigrafické legendy, používané v TNO od roku 1997. Tato klasifikace vychází z litologických a seismologických vlastností hornin, z jejich stratigrafické polohy a jejich původu. Stáří hornin se v této klasifikaci neuvažuje.
