Prospecting.no er en karttjeneste opprettet av Norges geologiske undersøkelse (NGU) og Direktoratet for mineralforvaltning.Karttjenesten gir: • Informasjon om norske mineralressurser tilgjengelig for gruve- og prospekteringsselskaper , utbyggere og andre brukere. • Enkel tilgang til en mengde informasjon fra ulike kilder; mineralressurser, geologi og geofysikk (NGU), lete- og utvinningstillatelser (Direktoratet for mineralforvaltning), verneområder (Miljødirektoratet) og topografi (Kartverket). • Kartvisninger av malmforekomster, knyttet til mineralressursdatabasen ved NGU. Databasen inneholder informasjon, i variabel detalj på ca. 8.300 malmforekomster; inkludert feltbeskrivelser, analytiske data og referanser.
