Dataset bol vytvorený kombináciou, generalizáciou a vektorizácio podložia a Máp kvartérnych sedimetov mierok 1:200 000 a 1:50 000. Plochy na mapách korešpondujú s vekom, genetickými a litologickými jednotkami sedimentov a horninami ležiacimi priamo pod vrstvou povrchovej pôdnej vrrstvy. V skutočnosti mapa korešponduje s Mapou Kvartérnych sedimentov obsahujúcou malé plochy so skalnými odkryvmi.
