O conjunto de dados foi criado a partir de mapas à escala 1:200 000 e 1:50 000, através de combinação, generalização e vectorização da geologia e sedimentos quaternários. As áreas no mapa correspondem a idades e unidades litológicas de sedimentos e rochas. De facto, o mapa corresponde à representação dos sedimentos do Quaternário, incluindo pequenas áreas correspondentes a afloramentos.
