Abstract:

Eesti pinna geoloogiline kaart mõõtkavas 1:1 000 000 on saadud aluspõhja ja pinnakatte kaartide (1:200 000 ja 1:50 000) kombineerimisel, generaliseerimisel ja vektoriseerimisel. Kaardil kujutatud alad vastavad kõige ülemise pinnasekihi (mullakihi) all avanevatele geoloogilistele üksustele, mis peegeldavad kivimi (sette) vanust, geneesi ja litoloogiat. Sisuliselt on tegemist pinnakatte kaardiga, millel eristuvad üksikud väikesed aluspõhja avamusalad (alvarid).
