Datová sada byla vytvořena kombinací, generalizací a vektorizací geologických map a map kvartérních sedimentů v měřítkách 1:200 000 a 1:50 000. Plochy na mapě odpovídají stáří, genetickým a litologickým jednotkám sedimentů a hornin, které leží pod svrchní vrstvou půd. De facto mapa odpovídá mapě kvartérních sedimentů s malými plochami skalních výchozů.
