Abstract:

Este mapa muestra los sedimentos próximos a la superficie (o fono del mar), hasta una profundad aproximada de 5 metros. Esta mapa tiene su origen en el mapa del primitivo Servicio Geológico Holandés, enriquecido con datos sin publicar allí donde ha sido necesario. Los sedimentos se han clasificado de acuerdo con la nueva leyenda litoestratigráfica utilizada por el TNO desde el año 1997. La clasificación se basa en las propiedades sismológicas y en la posición estratigráfica y el origen. La edad de los sedimentos no se ha tenido en cuenta en la clasificación.
