Abstract:

Die Geologische Basiskarte bietet eine generalisierte Darstellung der geologischen Einheiten und tektonischen Strukturen Österreichs. Der Datensatz basiert auf der analogen Publikation Metallogenetische Karte von Österreich (Weber, 1997) und wurde für GIS-Anwendungen aufbereitet, ohne den ursprünglichen geologischen Inhalt zu verändern. Geringfügige Korrekturen betreffen Indizierungsfehler bei Vulkangesteinen westlich von Güssing. Der Datensatz dient als Referenz für regionale und überregionale geowissenschaftliche Analysen und Anwendungen.
