Abstract:

Latvijas kvartāra perioda ģeoloģiskā karte mērogā 1: 200 000 aptver valsts sauszemi, Rīgas līci un Baltijas jūru Latvijas teritoriālajā zonā. Karte drukātā formātā sastāv no 14 karšu lapām un to aprakstiem. Kvartāra nogulumu karte ietver informāciju par kvartāra perioda nogulumiežiem, ūdens nesējslāņiem un ģeomorfoloģiju Karte ir pieejama digitālā formātā ar 9 apvienotām karšu lapām (*.shp un *.lyr formāta faili, datu komplekti sastāv no 4 – 7 failiem (satur pamatinformāciju, koordinātu piesaisti, vizuālo noformējumu).

Kvartāra perioda ģeoloģisko karti laikā no 1998.gada līdz 2001.gadam izdeva Vides aizsardzības un reģionālās attīstības ministrija un Valsts ģeoloģijas dienests mērogā 1 : 200 000. Karšu lapas sagatavotas izmantojot kartēšanas, ģeoloģisko urbumu un ģeoloģisko pētījumu materiālus. Karte sastādīta pēc stratigrāfiskiem un ģenētiskiem principiem. Kvartāra nogulumu kartē atbilstoši mēroga noteiktībai attēlotas dažāda vecuma, ģenēzes un sastāva stratigrāfiski ģenētiskās vienības. Karte digitizēta un rediģēta 2008.gadā un ir pieejama *.shp failu formātā.
