Abstract:
Gagnasafn (GDB) NI_J250v: Jarðfræðikorti af Íslandi – 1 : 250.000 – Blað 1 til 9 [Geological Map of Iceland – 1 : 250.000 – Sheet 1 til 9]. Jarðfræðikorti af Íslandi er skipt niður í 9 kortblöð. Ólokið er gerð tveggja kortblaða, 4 og 8, og endurskoða þarf kortblöð 1 og 5. Jarðfræðikortin sýna stærstu drætti í jarðfræði landsins. Berggrunnur er flokkaður eftir aldri, gerð og samsetningu en jarðgrunnur er flokkaður í helstu myndanir frá ísaldarlokum til nútíma. Einnig sýnir kortið dreifingu gosstöðva frá ísöld og nútíma, jarðhita, berghlaup, stefnu jökulráka, strik og halla berglaga og fundarstaði steingervinga. [This map series consits of 9 map sheets. Sheet 4 and 8 are not published, sheet 1 and 5 need to be updated. The Geological Map of Iceland shows the main features of the bedrock geology. Formation are classified by age, type, and composition. Surfacial deposits are classified by Postglacial to Holocene age. The map also shows the distribution of Pleistocene and postglacial eruption sites, geothermics, landslides, moraines, strike and dip, and fossil localities.]

Vegna aldurs gagnaseríunnar og þess að gögnin hafa ekki verið endurskoðuð miðað við núverandi þekkingu á jarðfræði Íslands, er vektorgögnum ekki dreift utan NÁTT.
