Geological Atlas of the Deep Subsurface of the Netherlands

The Geological Atlas of the Deep Subsurface of the Netherlands – onshore was originally carried out in the period 1991–2003. The results were documented in 15 map sheets, each accompanied by its own explanatory text. In 2006, a compilation was produced on the basis of extensive mapping. In addition to the geological description—structural framework and geological and paleogeographical development—this compilation also includes a section on applied geology, covering petroleum geology, geothermal energy, and underground storage of, among others, natural gas and CO₂.
