Investigation of the regional geological relationship between the Lignite Deposits of the Northern Great Plain and the Aquifers of the Hungarian Great Plain, Hungary

Zoltán Püspöki, Ágnes Cserkész-Nagy, Julianna Mekker, Gábor Markos 2023:

The basin peripheries, which are of particular importance for mining, are seismically poorly documented, and the seismically mapped surfaces were completed with interpretations based on carotid correlations, following a time-depth transformation in the Jewel software environment. This environment is now also suitable for stratigraphic classification of screened sections of hydrogeological deep wells (production/observation wells) in the area.
