High-resolution Facies correlation Study in The South Debrecen Area, Hungary

Zoltán Püspöki, Gábor Markos 2019:

High resolution geological modelling is based on reliable and sufficiently high resolution stratigraphy. In high-resolution stratigraphic studies, the sedimentary sequence is subdivided by isochronous (=contemporaneous) surfaces ("time horizons") interpreted in terms of facies. The aim of the 3D geological modelling of the Debrecen-South (Nyírség) area was to support hydrogeological modelling. The sedimentological/faciesistological characteristics of the sedimentary system units identified by high-resolution correlation and the expected reservoir characteristics resulting from the geological setting are described above.
