Impact of the vadose zone map indicates the level of influence of the geological layers above the groundwater level. It is expressed as an index value, according to DRASTIC ranges from 1 to 10, being 1 the areas with confining layers and 10 areas with karst limestone layers.
Overlying layers factor map indicates the natural protection of the groundwater surface provided by the geological layers of the unsaturated zone and the overlying soil. It is expressed as a value according to COP ranges from 1 to 15, being 0 the less degree of protection and the range of 8 - 15 the highest degree of protection.
Precipitation factor map indicates the reduction of groundwater surface protection due to climatic settings. It is expressed as a value according to COP ranges from 0.4 to 1, being the range 0.4-0.5 the highest degree of protection reduction and the range of 0.9-1 the lowest degree of protection reduction.
Net recharge map expressed as an index value according to DRASTIC ranges from 1 to 10, being 10 the net recharge greater than 500 mm and 1 the recharge less than 50mm.
Type of soil media map expressed as an index value according to DRASTIC ranges from 1 to 10. The lowest values in the area (index value of 4) - correspond to loam and silty loam soils and the highest values (index value of 10) correspond to gravel soils or terrains with non-existent soil.
Slope distribution map expressed as an index value according to DRASTIC ranges from 1 to 10, being 10 the areas with lowest slopes (less than 2 %) and 1 the areas with highest ones (more than 18%).
Superficial Geology (250k) This layer shows the superficial (drift) geology of Northern Ireland at 1:250,000 scale. For each rock unit there is a brief generalised description under the following headings. LEX_D: Description of the selected polygon. LEX_RCS: Map code as it appears on the published 1:250,000 map. RCS_D: Decription of the deposit. VERSION: Version of the data. RELEASED: Date of release/update of the data. Persons interested in the detailed geology of particular sites should consult the lates...
GEORM500k represents a simplified version of the geological map 1:500 000. Units are set aside in chronostratigraphic order. Mostly distributed are the old, prevailingly Pre-Cambrian formations which are raised eroded cores of megastructures. The old crystalline rocks are divided into lower and upper complexes . All rocks are metamorphosed under the conditions of amphibolites facies. Here are undoubtedly established Ordovician meta-sandstones, sericite schists and quartzites with marbles. The Mesozoic form...
This service displays harmonized information about the age and lithology of the surface geology of Finland at a scale of 1:1M. Information about both superficial Quaternary deposits and pre-Quaternary bedrock is included.
This is PSI data for Gulf_of_Corinth, Greece. It has been provided by TRE as part of the ESA funded Terrafirma project.
