During the modelling work, sediment body thicknesses were constructed for the area of the Neogene coal basins of northern Hungary (including the Borsodi basins). BSS is the French Boreholes database containing information from about 700 000 boreholes, accompanied by 2 000 000 pages of technical documentation. BSS contains raw information about geology and the technical details of the procedures used to drill the boreholes. This information is provided by operators under the terms of French law (Code Minier art. 131 à 136).
