This web service provides a selection of maps from the Upper Austria – Upper Bavaria area, one of the project’s overall 5 pilot areas, as examples for the range of thematic map series derived from the 3D geological models prepared in the GeoMol project and held available in the web services of www.geomol.eu. Im Interreg IV Projekt GeoMol (Bewertung der Geopotenziale in den alpinen Vorlandbecken für die nachhaltige Planung und Bewirtschaftung der natürlichen Ressourcen) wurden im Zeitraum von September 2012 bis Juni 2015 in einem länderübergreifenden Projekt mit Partnern aus Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien, Österreich, der Schweiz und Slowenien Grundlageninformationen des Untergrunds der Molassebecken nördlich und südlich der Alpen erarbeitet und in ein grenzübergreifend abgestimmtes geologisches 3D-Modell integriert. Dieser Webservice visualisiert eine Auswahl der im Gebiet Oberösterreich - Oberbayern (Upper Austria - Upper Bavaria), einem von insgesamt 5 Pilotgebieten, erarbeiteten Karten als Beispiel für die aus dem GeoMol 3D-Modell abgeleiteten thematischen Kartenserien, die in den Webdiensten unter www.geomol.eu bereitgestellt sind.
