Contiene el Inventario Nacional de Escombreras y Estructuras de Tipo Mixto con información relativa a características físicas y geológicas, tipo de minería, incidencia en el entorno, posibilidad de aprovechamiento, etc. Esta información ha sido obtenida mediante la realización del Inventario Nacional de Balsas y Escombreras de Residuos Mineros por parte del IGME de 1983 a 1989. Se trata de una base de datos factual georreferenciada gestionada con SQL Server Database of sterile deposits and coarse materials poured dry (mine tailings) that originate in the mines and quarries. Contains the National Inventory of Mining Tailings and Structures of Mixed Type with information related to physical and geological characteristics, type of mining, impact on the environment, possibility of exploitation, etc. This information has been obtained through the completion of the National Inventory of Mining Ponds and Minig Tainlings from the IGME from 1983 to 1989. It is a georeferenced factual database managed with SQL Server. El objetivo principal de la base de Escombreras es reunir las características físicas y geológicas, tipo de minería, incidencia en el entorno, ...de los depósitos de estériles y materiales gruesos vertidos en seco (escombreras) que se originan en las explotaciones de minas y canteras ecopilada y almacenada en el Inventario Nacional de Balsas y Escombreras de Residuos Mineros de 1983 hasta 1989. El motivo de la creación de los datos fue para poner a disposición de los responsables autonómicos de las Consejerías de información actualizada de estas estructuras y su situación espacial. The main objective of the base of Mining Tailings is to gather the physical and geological characteristics, type of mining, incidence in the environment, ... of the deposits of sterile and coarse materials discharged in dry (tailings) that originate in mining operations and quarries collected and stored in the Inventario Nacional de Balsas y Escombreras de Residuos Mineros from 1983 to 1989. De los depósitos más representativos (7.162, de los cuales 574 corresponden específicamente a balsas de residuos mineros) se elaboró una ficha completa con toda la información de cada estructura. Todo el inventario fue volcado a una Base de Datos creada para tal fin en lenguaje COBOL-81 desarrollándose posteriormente en un sistema de Base de Datos Relacional (ORACLE). En 2013, la información correspondiente a las estructuras Escombreras y Tipo Mixto (actualizadas en la base de datos original en ORACLE V7 y hasta 1989) es volcada, tras el tratamiento de atributos de las tablas originales, en una base de datos SQL Server 2008, a partir de la cual se crea el servicio WMS del Inventario Nacional de Escombreras y Estructuras Tipo Mixto The information comes from the "Inventario Nacional de Balsas y Escombreras de Residuos Mineros" carried out by the IGME between 1983 and 1989 and which collects information on 21,673 waste structures (ponds and dumps) from the 50 Spanish provinces.
