Geological Survey Organisations in charge for storage and management of the baseline data as well as data processing and model building are for Upper Austria the Geological Survey of Austria (GBA) and for Upper Bavaria the Bavarian Environment Agency (LfU) – Geological Survey. Access to the baseline data is subject to the statutory provisions of the respective countries. Datengrundlage ist die von der Genehmigungsbehörde bereitgestellte Information und das im Rahmen des INTERREG IV Projekts GeoMol entwickelte geologische 3D Modell für das Pilotgebiet Oberösterreich – Oberbayern als einem von 6 Schwerpunktgebieten. Verantwortliche Geologische Dienste für die Datenhaltung, -verarbeitung und die 3D-Modellierung sind für Oberösterreich die Geologische Bundesanstalt (GBA) und für Oberbayern das Bayerische Landesamt für Umwelt (LfU) – Geologischer Dienst. Die Verfügbarkeit der Grundlagendaten ist durch nationale Datenzugangsgesetze für Untergrunddaten der jeweiligen Länder geregelt.
