The database also provides information on land use, volume, operating conditions, manufacturers, quality and how important resources are as raw material to building engineering purposes Grus- og Pukkdatabasen ved NGU inneholder opplysninger om de aller fleste sand-, grus- og pukkforekomster og uttakssteder i Norge hvor råstoffet brukes til bygge- og anleggsvirksomhet. I tillegg gis en oversikt over steintipper. Databasen gir også informasjon om arealbruk, volum, driftsforhold, produsenter, kvalitet og hvor viktige ressursene er som råstoff til byggetekniske formål.
