It is also a contribution to the OneGeology initiative (www.onegeoloy.org). Data is represented in a two-dimensional model of the top of the bedrock, describing identified geological units geometry, the material composition of the units and geologic events that has acted on the units. Shear displacement structures like faults on the top of bedrock are also included in the model. The main features of the bedrock geology of Sweden is represented in the produkt and since it is based on compilation of bedrock maps of different scales, age and quality the accuracy of the data varies within the dataset. The product is produced for presentation at the scale of 1:1 miilion which means that some units are heavily generalized. GE.Berggrund är en transformerad version av SGUs produkt Berggrund 1:1 miljon i syfte att uppfylla Inspire dataspecifikation för tema Geologi och överensstämmer med Inspire dataspecifikation för tema Geologi genom kodning enligt GeoSciML 4.0. Data representeras i en tvådimensionell modell av berggrundens överyta, som beskriver identifierade geologiska enheters geometri, det material som bygger upp enheterna och geologiska händelser som de genomgått. I modellen ingår även strukturer som förkastningar i berggrundens överyta. Huvuddragen i Sveriges berggrundsgeologi återges i produkten. Eftersom den är baserad på berggrundskartor i olika skalor, åldrar och kvalitet varierar noggrannheten. Produkten är framtagen för presentation i skala 1:1 miljon, vilket innebär att vissa bergarter har generaliserats kraftigt. The information about lithology, dykes and tectonic structures has been updated by generalization of maps and databases produced by the Geological Survey of Sweden during the period 1999-2009. The legend has been revised in cooperation with the geological surveys of Finland and Norway, and includes recent results from radiometric age determinations. Datamängden framtälldes ursprungligen som Sveriges bidrag till den Geologiska kartan över Fennoskandiska skölden 2001. Sedan dess har en avsevärt förbättrad version av datamängden tagits fram 2010. Litologi, gångar och tektoniska strukturer har reviderats baserat på kartor och databaser som producerats vid Sveriges geologiska undersökning under åren 1999 - 2009. Legenden har omarbetas i samarbete med de geologiska undersökningarna i Finland och Norge, och inkluderar aktuella resultat från radiometriska åldersbestämningar. Sedan 2010 har mindre uppdateringar gjorts.
